Sonu Sood’s incredible efforts during the coronavirus outbreak will never be forgotten. The actor rose above all, during such hard times and helped a massive number of migrant workers go back to their families. This certainly set an example of human compassion and a grand deed that will be remembered for many years to come.
Sonu is now set to take a new plunge and has teamed up with Penguin Random House to narrate the story of what inspired him to plan such an impossible mission. His debut book, which is untitled at the moment, will unveil the emotional journey and challenges he faced during such a health crisis. Penguin India took to Twitter to announce the collaboration with Sonu Sood and wrote “We’re super excited to publish Sonu Sood’s debut book. This book will reveal how helping stranded migrant workers altered his life goals”
Speaking about it, the actor wrote “I want to thank God for making me a catalyst in helping the migrants. While my heart beats in Mumbai, after this movement I feel a part of me lives in the villages of UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Uttarakhand and various other states where I have now found new friends and made deep connections.” He further added “I have decided to put these experiences, stories that are embedded in my soul forever, in a book … I’m excited, nervous and overwhelmed, and I can’t wait to connect with you through my book. I look forward to your support—and love you all”
The benevolent actor mentioned that seeing smiles on these people has been the most amazing experience of his life and he pledged to keep working on it, for as long as it is required so that they can all reunite with their families.
Miliee Ashwarya, the publisher of Ebury Publishing and Vintage Publishing, Penguin Random House also wrote “The book will bring together the story of Sonu’s amazing journey with migrants, and how it has changed more than a lakh lives including his own. I am delighted and look forward to publishing the book.”
